Identifying Student Requirements and Making Reasonable Adjustments
Student Support and Counseling group provides support for students with diverse study needs and disability to ensure that they have equal access to activities, and equal opportunity treatment at our University. This means that the University will make every effort possible to meet the needs of general access and the specific needs of individuals. Our policy ensures that the legal rights of students with disabilities are recognized and protected.
The Regulation ensuring equal opportunities for students with disabilities allow for detailed assessment that might include an independent expert assessment in order to determine what adjustments are necessary for a student. Students are required to supply certification of the functional implications of their disability to inform the provision of support services and adjustments.
