MA/MSc programs

Application requirements

To apply for a postgraduate degree at Corvinus University of Budapest you will need the following:

– A completed bachelor’s degree (you will need to receive the final degree certificate and a full transcript until 12 July 2021 the latest and send them to us)
– Minimum B2 knowledge in English, proven by a certificate
– A valid passport
– Only for MBA applicants: a document proving your work experience, a CV, and a motivational letter

If you are unable to submit the certificate, our Language Center will test your knowledge during the application process.
In case you completed your previous studies in English you don’t have to submit a language certificate. Please note, however, that you will be required to provide official proof that the language of education during your bachelor studies was English.

The entrance exams are held online.

Medical certificate is not required by Corvinus University of Budapest. 

Language proficiency test

Applicants who do not have the required language certificate can take part in an online language proficiency test organized by Corvinus University of Budapest. The exact date of the exam will be communicated to you in the invitation letter.The language proficiency test will be conducted via Zoom between 7 April 2021 and 20 April 2021.

Interview

You will receive an e-mail before the entrance exam that will contain all the details you need for participation as well as the conditions to take the exam. This invitation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address that you provide during the application. Please check the Entry requirement of your selected program to see what kind of exam you can expect.

The entrance exam for every postgraduate program is an interview.

Taking part in the oral exam is mandatory unless you have one of the following:
a. At least a grade C (ECTS) degree from an AACSB/EQUIS/ or CEMS member university or EAPAA/EPAS accredited program (must be uploaded until 15 March 2021)
b. GMAT (at least 500 points) or GRE (at least 151 points) (must be uploaded until 15 March 2021) 

Interviews will be conducted via Skype unless otherwise noted (e.g.: Office 365 – Teams). You will need to have access to a device with internet connection, a camera, and a microphone to be able to participate in the exam. If the interview is held via Microsoft 365 – Teams you can connect via your browser without downloading the application.

During the exams you will be contacted by the Exam Committee. You do not have to contact them yourself. Applicants will be interviewed one by one.

A maximum of 100 points can be earned during the exam. At least 65% must be reached for admission. This does not mean that every applicant above 65% will be accepted as the available places within each program are limited. However, no applicant under 65% can be accepted regardless of the number of applicants. 

Schedule of the interviews

Date of the interviews: between 6 April 2021 and 21 April 2021

Please be available during this time. The entrance exam is mandatory.

We are unable to fulfill any requests regarding a change in the schedule both after and after the schedule is made. Please make sure that you are available during the given time(s).

The schedule will be communicated to you in the invitation e-mail.

You can check the results of the interview in the following document. Please download the PDF file and by using a browser find your own score beside your Application ID.

The Application ID is a 3-,4-, 5- or 6-digit ID number from the DreamApply system.

Uploading documents

The following documents are required for the application: bachelor degree, official transcript, a copy of your passport and a language certificate (as well as a motivational letter, CV and proof of work experience for MBA applicants). 
Documents must be uploaded to the DreamApply application system. The final deadline to upload any document is 1 August 2021. The degree recognition and credit acceptance requests must be submitted until 12 July 2021. if you finish your bachelor studies in 2021. If you finished in 2020 or before the deadline is 15 June 2021.

 
If you want to gain acceptance based on your bachelor’s degree or GMAT/GRE score as detailed in the “Entrance exam” section above, you must upload the relevant documents until 15 March 2021 the latest.

 
The deadline to upload the proof of English proficiency is also 15 March 2021. If you do not upload it by this date you will have to take part in our language exam. (see the “Language exam” section above)

The credit acceptance procedure will determine your eligibility to enroll in a certain program based on your previous studies. 
• Download and fill out the relevant credit acceptance form from the „Credit acceptance forms” section below
• You can include completed courses from your previous studies, including your bachelor’s degree, any finished or unfinished additional degree (both bachelor and master level), courses that you completed as a guest student or part-time student
• The credit acceptance procedure is mandatory for every applicant for our postgraduate programs. The only exception is if you completed a bachelor’s degree that can be fully accepted, but only if you completed it in a Hungarian university
 
Deadline: 12 July 2021 if you finish your bachelor studies in 2021. If you finished in 2020 or before the deadline is 15 June 2021.
