Accessibility and Disability Policy + Attachment
A key objective of the Policy is to develop an easily accessible glossary and framework that will assist our university in achieving the goals. Furthermore it is benefit for all citizens of Corvinus University.
It presents new ways of thinking about accessibility and disability. This policy emphasizes that everyone needs an accessible environment. For example we can all relate to parents pushing strollers or to elderly companions who have difficulty moving. It shows, that accessibility is not merely a technical internal matter of a special group, but a community-building initiative. It is universally recognized that an accessible and usable environment creates accessibility by providing access to a range of opportunities, where no one is excluded.
As a result, the policy is directed toward the universal ideals of acceptance and openness in both principle and in practice.
Glossary concepts
An Inclusive University
As an academic center, it strives to deliver individual citizens the chance to reach their full potential, while also respecting individuals’ differences in endowments.
Mindset Accessibility
An approach that focuses not on overcoming all obstacles, but on understanding and interpreting barriers as opportunities for growth.
Physical Accessibility
Essentially, the process of altering the environment to make it more physically accessible and usable, ideally in a personalized way.
Individualized options
A way of thinking and practicing that acknowledges that obstacles cannot always be overcome, but that they can be identified and addressed in a way that is specific to each individual’s needs.

• Language and Speech disability (dysphasia, dyscalia, dysphonia, stuttering, whooping cough, aphasia, nasal speech, dysarthria, mutism, severe speech perception and comprehension problems, central pustules, delayed speech development)
