Who we are
A The Budapest Research Centre for Performance Management was founded in November, 2003 at the Faculty of Business Administration of Corvinus University of Budapest. The research centre is closely related to the Institute of Management.
The research centre was founded by Prof. Dr. Dr.h.c. mult. Horváth Péter, and by Prof. Miklós Dobák.
Prof. Dr. Dr.h.c. mult. Horváth Péter, university professor, before retirement, was the Head of Department of Management Control at University of Stuttgart. Prof. Miklós Dobák is the Head of Institute of Management at Corvinus University of Budapest.
The existence and the functioning of the research centre are supported by the Stuttgart-based Péter Horváth Stiftung and furthermore by the International Performance Research Institute (IPRI) which was also founded by Péter Horváth.
Moreover many projects of the research centre are realized with the help of OTKA (Hungarian Research Support Scheme).
The coordinator of the research activities and the projects is Dr. Viktória Bodnár, Associate Professor of Department of Management and Control at the Corvinus University of Budapest.
Role of the centre:
- Measurement and evaluation of performance, research of performance management systems in various sectors of the economy and the society.
- Multidisciplinary examinations of performance management topics at the University.
- Active presence in international research projects as well as in professional associations.
