PhD Programs
The highest level of education at the Corvinus University of Budapest is represented by the Doctoral training, which prepares students for scientific research and the academic professorship. There are eight accredited doctoral schools at the University. Doctoral education can be divided in two main phases: curricular education and degree acquisition. In curricular training the candidates acquire the theoretical and methodological knowledge of scientific research. In addition, they deepen their knowledge in their chosen professional field. With the guidance of a supervisor, the doctoral candidate does individual research as well. Its results are summarized in his or her dissertation, which has to be defended by the candidate in front of a committee on an open session.
