 Kobe University delegation 

A delegation from Kobe University, Japan, led by Dr. iur. Inoue Noriyuki, Executive Vice President visited the Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations of Corvinus University of Budapest on 29th. November2018. Dr. László Csicsmann, Dean of the Faculty warmly welcomed the delegation. During the visit the establishment of a closer academic coopration and student exchange program was discussed.

World University Rankings 2019 is out, and departments of Corvinus University are listed among the best 400.

Departments of Sociology, Communications and Media Studies, Politics and International Studies of the Budapest Corvinus University are listed in the 400+ ranks, and its Department of Economics is among the best 501+.

Closer Cooperation

 

Corvinus University of Budapest (represented by Dr. László Csicsmann, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations) participated at the "One Belt One Road and the New International Relations" conference at Fudan University, Shangai, China on 13-14th October 2018.  The distinguished participating Universities of the conference (Fudan University, Lomonosov University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, VietnaNational University USSH, University of Tehran, Warsaw University, etc.) have agreed to establish a closer cooperation, the Unions of School of Politics and International Relations.

 

Memorandum of understanding between VNU USSH and CUB

Under the witness of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Vietnamese and Hungarian high-level officials, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh (Rector, Vietnam National University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Dr. habil. László Csicsmann (Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations, Corvinus University of Budapest) signed the memorandum of understanding on increasing student exchanges between VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Corvinus University of Budapest.

 CUB FSS-IR Graduation Ceremony - 24th July 2018

It was a great pleasure to host the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Sri Lanka, H.E. Mr. Rohan Nanayakarra. He delivered an inspirational speech and gave some thoughtful advice to the graduated students of CUB's Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations.

The Graduation ceremony of CUB's Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations will take place on 24th July 2018 at 4pm. Venue: Bálna Budapest (H-1093 Budapest, Fővám tér 11-12)

Graduating students who successully complete all the academic requirements will receive the ceremony invitation after the final exam.

Final-year international students and their guests are warmly invited and encouraged to attend the event!

Christmas Party: 12 December 2017

CUB's Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations held its annual Christmas party on 12th December 2017.  Our international students made a fun, interactive and enjoyable presentation about the traditions of their home country, it was interesting to hear how people celebrate Christmas around the world.

 

     

QMU welcomes first Hungarian scholarship students

Two students from Hungary have become the first to study at QMU as part of a new scholarship exchange programme between Edinburgh and Budapest. The Queen Margaret Legacy Programme has been developed by the Hungarian Embassy and Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh to celebrate the legacy of Saint Margaret, one of the most loved women from Scottish and Hungarian history.

International Graduation Ceremony: July 14, 2016

The Faculty held its first International Graduation Ceremony on 14th July. On this great event we had as guest of honor, Ms Ksenija Škrilec, Ambassador of Slovenia in Budapest.
