Before Applying

Corvinus University will launch its sixth comprehensive Summer School in 2019. A variety of courses will be offered during the three weeks. Students can have a wonderful time in Budapest, combining their studies with company visits, travel and a cultural experience.

Level of courses: bachelor, master

Generally, applicants are accepted according to the level of the course. However, in some cases there are no strict restrictions regarding the level of applicants. Third year bachelor students can apply for master programmes.

Credits will be awarded. The assessment of the participants' performance will be carried out during the course or at the end of the course. Participants will be awarded a Transcript and a Certificate of Attendance.

Language requirement

Native speakers and applicants who have completed their bachelor and/or master level studies in English will be exempt from providing proof of English language proficiency.

Non-native English applicants must provide a certificate of a minimum B2 level English language proficiency.

After the selection ended, we will notify every applicant about their participation on the Corvinus Summer School. In case you are accepted, you will receive an invoice from us that needs to be paid in two weeks from reception. 

Please don't pay any participation fee in advance before we announce the selected participants, because we won't be able to track them. Furthermore please don't buy your flight tickets in advance until you're not accepted, since we can't guarantee you will have a spot.




Information on the regulations concerning visas and residence permits can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Hungary (www.mfa.gov.hu) or at the diplomatic and consular missions of Hungary (see the Ministry website for the list).

  • Students from EEA coutries (EEA national) can enter and stay in Hungary without a residence permit up to 90 days.


Health Insurence

All international students must purchase a FULL insurance in their home country before entering Hungary, for the WHOLE period of the summer school.

Student Card

Please note, that according to the current higher education regulations, the Corvinus University of Budapest does not give out any own (institutional) student ID cards for the participants of the summer school.

The EU/EEA students are kindly asked to bring and use the valid student ID card issued by their home university for the public transport to get reduced fares.

The non-EU/EEA students (according to the current regulations of the Budapest Transport Company) cannot use their student ID card for the public transport. They should have to buy a full price ticket, unless they purchase the Social Package.
