Greeting from the Dean

Dear Colleagues,

As the Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest, let me welcome you.

The goal of the Faculty of Economics is to get students acquainted with the long, medium, and short-term principles of the broadly interpreted economic policy leadership, providing them with the methodological basis, including mathematics, statistics, and econometrics, which are indispensable for the professional evaluation of the given economic policy programs. At the same time, it also aims to put the national processes into an international context, so that students can see that the internal economy can only be understood from a global perspective.

We strive to support this professional conviction with the adequate pedagogical tools. By making the education student-centered, the Faculty facilitates the individual ambitions and the professional interests of students. True to our University’s nature, we intend to present not only finalized knowledge material, but also the ongoing debates and trends, which are hot in the economics circles.

The Master’s Programs provide excellent occasions to join our education for everyone interested. Let me call your attention that our educational programs are constantly extended according to the demands of our students and the labor market. As a consequence, in addition to the Master’s Programs in Hungarian, we launch the M.A. in International Economy and Business and M.A. in Public Policy and Management Programs in English as well.
