Mushroom cultivation
Participants will receive comprehensive and detailed information on the currently cultivated mushroom species and those which will be growable in the near future. They will also be instructed in the economic aspects of the mushroom industry. The following subjects will be given special consideration:
- Genetics & breeding
- Spawn production
- Cultivation systems
- Substrate preparation
- Cultivation technologies
- Pests and diseases and their control
- Nutritive value and healthy properties
- Farm management and marketing
- Mushroom processing.
