Admission requirements

General admission requirements

For Hungarian applicants entrance requirements are in compliance with the entrance requirements as determined by the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources. Admission to the programme is determined primarily on the basis of the applicants’ academic achievement in the 3rd and 4th year of secondary school, their results in the matriculation examination and last but not least their achievement in the subjects required for joining the programme. Further information is available at www.felvi.hu. Applicants wishing to be accepted by the programme must achieve the minimum number of points (as determined by the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources at the end of July each year).

Entry requirements for applicants from non-EEA countries are described on the websites of the different programmes.

Programmes in English

Language requirements

Native speakers and applicants who completed their bachelor and/or master level studies in English don't have to provide proof of English their language proficiency as long as they can present their BA/MA transcript.

Otherwise the applicants usually must have at least one of the English language certificates listed below.

Bachelor programmes

  • valid TOEFL score of minimum 66 points (iBT), 187 (CBT)
  • valid IELTS of a minimum overall band of 5.0
  • other international B2 level exam certificate in English

Master and PhD programmes

  • TOEFL iBT 83 or above, or
  • IELTS overall band 6.5 or above or
  • other international B2 level exam certificate in English
