The IAB was established by the Senate Resolution

• to provide strategic, intellectual and practical guidance to central management and decision-making bodies of the University,
• to evaluate the strategy, development plans and reports of the CUB, and
• to make recommendations and comments on major academic and research policies, priorities and objectives, particularly in terms of the internationalisation.

The IAB is composed of internationally highly regarded scholars and leaders, carefully selected and invited by the Senate and chaired by the former rector of the University, Prof Csaba Csáki. Permanent representatives of the CUB in the IAB will be the rector and the vice-rector for international affairs.
