Welcome
Welcome to the website of our conference hosted by the Corvinus University of Budapest. Its title is "Chinese-European Cooperation for Long-term Sustainability”. It will be held on 10 – 11 November, 2011.
There are basic changes taking place in the global economy today. In order to ensure that these changes follow a path of positive development, China and the European Union, two of the world’s predominant actors, must play an important and active role by building up strategic partnerships. Our aim is to bring together leading Chinese and European institutions and other parties concerned in order to establish closer links, improve mutual understanding, and contribute to the development of a fruitful partnership in the field of R&D and Innovation.
During the second part of the conference the work will continue in sections. The discussed topics - Sustainability, Competitiveness, Challenges of the Food sector, Knowledge-based economy and Efficient governance - correspond with the main research areas of a project launched in April 2010.
If you are engaged in our topical issues, you are welcome to our conference in Budapest. During your stay you can discover a beautiful, forward looking city in the heart of Europe, as well.
