A tantárgy szakmai tartalma: Az új intézményi közgazdaságtani, a politikai gazdaságtani, a fejlődéselméleti, valamint a viselkedésgazdaságtani elemzés szemléletének és eszközeinek a beemelése a hallgatók közgazdasági gondolkodásának a homlokterébe. A kurzus során rámutatunk az említett gondolkodási iskolák relevanciájára és a tudományos megismerés, valamint a szakmai problémamegoldás szempontjából vett hasznosságára. A kurzus keretében foglalkozunk a piac intézményi elemzésével, az állam közgazdasági elméletével, az állami iparpolitika és a jóléti állam intézményi közgazdaságtani megközelítéseivel, a külgazdasági nyitás politikai gazdaságtanával, az evolúciós közgazdaságtan kérdésfeltevéseivel, a posztszocialista átalakulás intézményi vizsgálatával, valamint az aktorok viselkedési szabályosságaival a gazdasági folyamatok és döntések során. Igyekszünk rávilágítani arra, hogy a kurzus során tanultak miként segítik elő a különféle gazdasági aktorok gazdasági - pl. befektetési -, döntéseinek, magatartásának a megismerését és megértését.

Évközi tanulmányi követelmények: A hallgatók a félév során két zárthelyi dolgozatot írnak, valamint (az előadó tanárral előzetesen egyeztetve) prezentálnak a megadott irodalom alapján a foglakozásokon. Az előadó tanár dönthet házi dolgozat (esszé) kiadásáról is.

Az értékelés módszere: A dolgozatok 40 pont + 40 pontot érnek, és ehhez jön 10 pont (bonus) a kiselőadásokért (esetleg a kurzus során, a tanárokkal egyeztetve vállalt és végzett, egyéb szakmai munkáért, pl. házidolgozat – esszé – írása).
