Corvinus is among the top universities of the region| 2018.11.05.

Our University has taken the 48th place in the ranking of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) for EECA (Emerging Europe and Central Asia).

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has ranked the top 300 universities in the Emerging European and Central Asian region, with Corvinus University of Budapest taking the 48th place.

The first two places of the ranking are taken by two Russian institutions, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Novosibirsk State University. The third place has been gained by Charles University of Prague. The leading Hungarian university in the ranking is Eötvös Loránd University with the 20th place. 

QS has 10 ranking indicators for 2019. The most important indicator is academic reputation (30%) that is followed by employer reputation (20%). Faculty student/ratio, papers per faculty, international research network take 10-10 %  in the ranking, while web impact, staff with a PhD, citations per paper take 5-5 % in the ranking. The rate of international faculty and international students influences the results by 2,5 – 2,5 %. 

EECA is a dedicated ranking of the top universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia. Its methodology has been developed to reflect priorities and challenges for universities in this region. Given that it does not consider American and British universities and the ranked universities of the region have similar resources, this narrowed ranking shows more objective results – as it is cited by Eduline.hu.
